Meet Your Doula

My name is Kara, I have been married to my husband Eddie for 13 years and we have 7 beautiful children.  Originally we are from central West Virginia, lived in Pennsylvania where I was born for a few years and have spent a half of a year in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I have had the pleasure of helping two clients during my time in Arkansas where I first started my business and now located my  business to the new location of Altoona, PA after a break due to some family changes.

I have been passionate about labor and motherhood since I was 11 years old. I had my first 3 children in a hospital setting, all very different experiences. Each situation had me researching all I could learn about natal care. Especially when I decided to have my first home birth. It was the best birthing experience of my life! I believe this was because I was surrounded by educated women who cared about me and my baby, and these woman did what they could to make sure I had a wonderful experience. 

I knew right then and there that I wanted to be one of those women, I grew a passion to help others have as beautiful birth experience as possible. So I began my Doula training and became a certified birth and postpartum Doula through Madriella Doula Network. It's been an amazing experience, providing services in the northeast Arkansas area and I hope to  continue this amazing journey helping Women here in the surrounding areas of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
