My name is Kara, and I am a certified birth and postpartum Doula through the Madriella Doula Network.  As a mother of seven beautiful children, I have navigated various birth experiences, including my last three births at home and the joy of adopting one child into our family. Prenatal, natal and postnatal care has become a passion of mine, so I started my professional career as a Doula. I have been practicing on my own for 4 years and recently started also working with Doulas of Central Pennsylvania.  My dedication to helping women and their families during this special time drives me to offer personalized doula care from pregnancy, through birth, and beyond.

I believe in providing personalized doula care that meets the unique needs of each individual. I offer comprehensive birth and postpartum support, including birth education, pain management, breastfeeding guidance, and postpartum care. I take the time to listen to my clients and collaborate with them to develop a birth plan that aligns with their values and goals. My aim is to empower women to make informed decisions about their care and to provide the support they need for a positive birth experience.

I believe birth is a beautiful, natural process and an important adventure, showcasing God's perfect design. Mothers and babies have a right to evidence-based practice and deserve to be heard. Having a doula to assist you during labor can significantly reduce the likelihood of medical interventions while increasing the chances of successful breastfeeding and healing after birth. You deserve to have the birth that you want. While some interventions may be necessary, you as a mother deserve informed consent if that situation arises. I am committed to providing personalized doula care to ensure you feel educated, respected, and empowered for a peaceful and rewarding birth experience.
