About Cultivating Arrows Doula Services

My name is Kara and I am a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Madriella Doula Network. I have 12 years of personal experience in prenatal, postnatal, and childbirth care and a year of professional work in this field. I have 7 beautiful children of my own and have had many different birth experiences, including my last three births being at home and one child joining our family through adoption.  My passion for helping women and their families during this special time in their lives is what drives me. I want to be able to help women from pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I believe in providing personalized care that meets the unique needs of each individual. I handle birth education, pain management, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and more. I take the time to listen to my clients and work with them to develop a birth plan that aligns with their values and goals. My goal is to empower women to make informed decisions about their care and to provide them with the support they need to have a positive birth experience.

I believe birth is a natural process and an important adventure. It's an amazing example of God's perfect design. Birthing mothers and babies have a right to evidence-based practice and deserve to be heard. Having a Doula to assist you during labor can greatly decrease the chances of medical interventions and more chances of successful breastfeeding and healing after birth. You deserve to have the birth that you want. Sometimes, interventions are needed, and if that should arise, then as the mother you deserve informed consent. I will do my best to provide you with all you need to feel educated and respected and have a peaceful and rewarding birth.
